What changes are Companies House making?

Companies House are implementing changes, here is a summary of the
proposed changes and when they come into effect:
1. ID Checks: Directors and key people must verify their identity by autumn
2025.
2. Real Addresses Only: Registered office addresses must be physical
locations, starting 4 March 2024.
3. Email Required: Companies must provide a registered email address from
4 March 2024.
4. Lawful Purpose: Companies must confirm they’re operating legally from
4 March 2024.
5. Higher Fees: Filing fees will increase on 1 May 2024.
6. More Checks: Companies House will challenge or correct incorrect
information from 4 March 2024.
7. Digital Filing: Mandatory digital filing will be phased in over the next
few years.
